What would be approx. value of this Velvetone Alto (Conn Stencil). I assume it needs cleaning, new pads and tuning.

Thank you.

Max value is anyone's guess on that one, but they are selling from US$100.to $200. on EBay.

Is it even a conn stencil ? I wonder.

The leaf-feet of the cages look rather more European to me. Generally that means a French or Belgian saxophone. Never seen a Conn with this type of leaf feet.

this is very different from other velvetone which were likely to be a Pan American stencil.

this one (different and CONN for sure) was $200

this was certainly a Weltklang and went for just above that.

Whatever, Velvetones, they don’t seem to excite people much.

I don’t think that the horn in your pic is a Conn and as an unidentified probably French alto could be worth as little as €100.
