I have an A25 & T25. They are the same tip opening as the A20 & T20, with a slightly different tip rail.I use a Vandoren V5 T20 for tenor and a Vandoren V5 A20 for alto.
Is the Vandoren V5 S25 the soprano version of these mouthpieces?
If no, what is the closest for soprano?
Thanks
You might find the Optimum SL5 a better match for the A & T 20s than the S25. The SL5's bore is a slight redesign from the V5 range, but it is supposed to give a playing feel that favours the characteristics of the A20, i.e. rounder, compact sound with a softer reed. Worth a try, but it's a closer tip than the S25 and only you can say if you would prefer that.I use a Vandoren V5 T20 for tenor and a Vandoren V5 A20 for alto.
