I can get a Vandoren V5 A15 for used for pretty cheap and I was wondering how it would compare to a C* in terms of ease of playing and quality of the sound.

If anyone has played both of these please help me out!

I like the Vandoren better but still too stuffy. Also the quality of the Vandoren is better. I love Selmers on alto but the sopranos tend to be too dull sounding for me. A few years ago I switched to a Yamaha 4C and found it the best of all.

I like both V5's and S-80's(I currently play an A28)and consider them pretty comparable.
