I've been looking into getting a new mouthpiece for my alto as of late; more specifically, a Vandoren V16. I play on Vandoren Java Greens/ZZ 2.5 strength and want to stick with them since they've worked the best for me. Currently, I play on a Yamaha 4C, but the tone is way too bright for me, so I'm looking for something that will hopefully get me a warmer sound. After looking at countless forums and data sheets, I'm deciding between an A5S+ and an A6S+. Using the reeds I already own, which mouthpiece should I buy to get me a somewhat darker tone? I'm probably going to buy from saxquest.com, which also offers medium chamber options. How's the ease of playing on these, and will it make a significant difference on my playing? Tomorrow I'm going to a few places to try out some Meyers, but if none of them work out for me, I want to have a V16 option handy. Any and all advice would be appreciated :)
