is a regular clarinet vandoren optimum ligature able to fit on a regular alto saxophone mouthpiece like a selmer c**?

Has anyone ever tried this?
whats your opinion on it?
and how did it sound?

Isn't there one already made for the hard rubber alto size? What would be the point?

I have both and the clarinet is definitely larger in diameter. It did not fit my Meyer alto mouthpiece so I doubt it would fit the Selmer either.

Clarinet ligatures are made for clarinet, not for alto sax mouthpieces . if you want an Optimum on your alto, you'll have to buy one

optimums barely fit alto mpcs, don't get me wrong I love mine, it's just not very flexible....
