is a regular clarinet vandoren optimum ligature able to fit on a regular alto saxophone mouthpiece like a selmer c**?

Has anyone ever tried this?
whats your opinion on it?
and how did it sound?

I have both and the clarinet is definitely larger in diameter. It did not fit my Meyer alto mouthpiece so I doubt it would fit the Selmer either.

Clarinet ligatures are made for clarinet, not for alto sax mouthpieces:cry: . if you want an Optimum on your alto, you'll have to buy one

optimums barely fit alto mpcs, don't get me wrong I love mine, it's just not very flexible....
