I have recently been focusing on my old Pedler BC and testing out mouthpieces.
I have 5-6 of them and most are pretty good, even the Yamaha 4c is not bad.

My B40 VanDoren is up for sale, but lacks any markings as such.
Having purchased this maybe 10 + years ago and having dozens on Sax & Clarinet
mouthpieces, I have don't have the best purchase records. I'm not sure of the history of this piece, is it an older VD that lacks the factory markings?
A copy cat? If a copy cat then I would presume that the VD markings would be imitated.

Some Vandoren mpcs only had the model in the same gold paint as the brand name, not engraved. I have a 5RV for Bb like that.

I'm not sure that I understand. Your last photo (DSCN2757.JPG) clearly shows the "B40" stamp/engraving just to the bottom right of the mouthpiece table.

On most modern Vandoren mouthpieces, that (i.e., the model number) is the only identifying marking that is stamped or engraved, rather than just painted on (though the series 13's also have "13" stamped to the bottom left of the table).
