Hi group. I’m new to the site. I inherited my dad’s Yamaha Sax and Selmer Sax back in 2003 and want to know where to go to verify their values in order to sell them
Any information would be greatly appreciated and helpful.
Thank you.

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

I can’t help regarding the Yamaha, as I know nothing about them, although I think the YAS means it is an alto

The serial number of the Selmer is wrong, I think. It will probably be a six figure number.

If the first 3 digits are correct, ie 271xxx, then it is likely to be a model called MARK SEVEN.

Do you know if it is an alto or a tenor?

Some pictures would help identify it.

If it is a tenor, in original condition and plays well, it could be worth 2,000/3,000 dollars.
Alto, possibly a little less.

Pictures would help greatly

Welcome.
Saxophones are similar to women. They are all beautifully fine tuned creatures that world could never exist without. They are priceless..
I hope this helps.
