I would be very grateful if someone could help identify this neck.
Any idea of who had made this tenor neck?
I assume that tenon possibly is not original. I can see traces of soldering (tin). Neck has no serial number, diameter of tenon is 28.3mm. This neck was with pre-WWII King.

I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that the tenon's not original - I'd bet it's much more likely that at some time the neck tube broke loose from the tenon and had to be re-soldered. I've had that happen twice in 40+ years of playing.

I'd guess mid-line French: Vito/Beaugnier, Dolnet, etc.

I do not believe it is either of those two mfr's actually. If you look at the saddle, and you look at the top of the tenon (the shape of the ferrule), this doesn't match that particular LeBlanc/Beaugnier neck.

Also look at the guide, the size and shape of the 'band' on it. Doesn't match either. I pulled out a neck from a 'regular' Beaugnier, too ( Noblet or Vito standard) and those details do not match mine either...

The sheet neckbrace is so common, that doesn't help a whole lot either.

This is a good one.

Tenon diameter is HUGE too..not Beaugnier-esque nor Buescher-esque. Weltklang used that sorta neck swoop and neck brace, and their tenons were large often.
But I am not saying it is definitively that, either.

Does the neck fit the King receiver ?
