Hello all, I have a Unison S300 II Alto and matte finish that I'm going to sell. Any idea what a good playing horn like this when should sell for? I can sell it with or without a Pro-Tec case that it's in.

I sold a near perfect one not long ago for $700, but I do tend to price things to move. Still, it took me over a month to find a local buyer.

I saw a couple advertised by dreamers at $1,400 and $1,800 around the same time that I bought it, for less than $700. Check Reverb closed sales; I think at least one was on there. Tough to tell what it actually sold for, though. I'm giving you quite a wide range, but that's what it is.

The model was originally advertised as a pro horn, as I'm sure you already knew. But used Taiwan saxes in general don't sell easily unless the price is very attractive.

I sold a silver matte finished S300 for $500 back in 2010. Obviously prices have gone up, but as others have stated off-brand horns don’t hold their value well
