For about 3 days I was unable to access the forum. All browsers (firefox, edge, IE, chrome) ended up with same results. Searched for what could be blocking access. No blocks on computers or routers or add-ons or virus software. Tried using phone via data and I could access the forum. This pointed to a ISP problem. Searching the internet, I found a reference to problems could occur with the ISP having a corrupted DNS server and I found a work-around. Tried it with success. If you encounter this problem access the forum or other sites, here are the steps:
Go to Control Panel - either click on your network icon in the tool tray or using Window Setting.
Select Change Adaptor Option for your ethernet connection -
Right Click on your EtherNet in the Control Panel that pops up.
Select (click) Properties in the Ethernet Status in dialog box.
Select (click) Internet Protocal Version 4 (TCP/IPV4) Properties in dialog box list-
Click on Properties
Change from "Obtain DNS server address automatically" to "Use the following DNS server address"
Use 8.8.8.9 for Preferred DNS server and 8.8.8.4 for Alternate DNS server. Note - this uses Google for DNS services.
Click OK
Restart your browser.
I will see in a few days if the ISP corrupted DNS for the forum get corrected by them.
Go to Windows Setting - Select Network & Internet - Select Ethernet -
Yes, it was a provider error. Just outlining what happened to me and how it was resolved and hopefully giving others some insight. Lately "I: have been having problems staying logged into the forum - viewing pictures and replies are affected.
