I've decided that seeing as I play saxophone I should probably know how to fix one. I talked to my tech and he said that he learned by taking apart and putting back together sax's. I have no such sax I could use. So if anyone has an un-used, broken or, non-played saxophone I would be willing to take it. Please pm with offers and details. Oh and if this thread should be in the buying/selling horns section, sorry I couldn't decide which one to put it in.

why unplayed?
Because storming the stage and snatch the soloist's instrument is considered poor attitude and is often frowned upon. :D

(I think the original poster meant a "currently unused" instrument, not one that never has been played)

So where, approximately, is the middle of nowhere?

i have a King 613 .. in 2 boxes. The body in one .. and the keys in another.
I could put it together for 'ya .. then you can have fun putting it together and apart ... and then fidde with installing pads, et all

but i'd have to charge your a small fortune for it ... like ... $100 or more if you desired.

oh wait .. it already has newish pads i think (got it that way). it's been sitting on my shelves for several years.

I would prefer a soprano if given the chance, and I don't really want to pay over $100 for the horn thats why un-used, broken, and non-played were in the original post.

And you live where? (Shipping a horn isn't cheap)

At that price any broken soprano is likely to be stomped on and thoroughly crushed.

sorry,
the horn i mentioned is unbroken, unused and unplayed. just the keys are off. I believe i was leveling the toneholes at one time and never bothered to put the keys back on .. and has been sitting on a shelf ever since.

Comforting to know that I'm not the only one with dusty, old 'projects' on my shelves...

Hi, I have an Abbott-Premier C melody sax, no neck, no C# key that you can have for free, if you pick up shipping from CA 94086. This might let you get some experience before you tackle a nicer horn.

Apparently his location is a guarded secret. I've 2 super cheap horns perfect for what he is seeking but he refuses to give a location.
