Also, are you out of tune across the horn or is it right hand, left?....keep in mind that you have multiple joints to tune with. For example, if your right hand notes are sharp, but left are ok, try pulling the bell a little, just a little trick that I've learned through the years. Same with the other joints, left hand, could be a middle joint and open notes/throat tones would be the the barrel.
