Trying to date an old Evette & Schaeffer tenor
Hi !
I'm trying to date an old Evette & Schaeffer tenor sax, serial # 516x. I tried saxpics.com under the Buffet section but could not find what exactly I wanted.
There is engraving on the bell showing leaves and it shows Evette & Schaeffer, Paris, France. One thing : the bell keys are on the left side of the sax. It also has a bell to body resonator, not the one with BC nor the metal sheet type.
Any help on dating this horn (and the model if any) would be appreciated.
N.B. : Sorry, English is not my mother tongue !
