ssx/cl/pno....really?

I'm intrigued, what's the piece like?

Cunningham wrote Multiple Trios but none of them seem to be written for Sop Sax/Clarinet and Piano.
I have performed the Piano Trio No. 3, for Soprano, alto and piano. It is a nice piece, three movements, not terribly difficult. The final movement, "May Song," is particularly beautiful.
Michael Cunningham wrote some beautiful stuff, before the only piece I knew by him was "Trigon" which is pretty neat, but I got this CD of a lot of his saxophone works (he wrote a lot for saxophone!) and I especially like his piece "Triskelion" for alto Saxophone it's very nice
Good to know, I'll check it out. I'm on the hunt for trios (pet project). Thanks!
