Too much space in a Pro Tech Bari Case

OK..bumping because I couldn't get an answer in another thread...

My Yani B901 fits very loosely in this case-if the neck socket, bowed portion of the neck and bell are snug against the padding, I have approx an inch of space down at the bow. I can also slide my hand under the entire body and bell. Is this safe?

I'm tempted to add extra padding, what are good materials?

This case is used only for transporting around town in my car.

I don't have that 1" end-play with my Yamaha that you have, but there is plenty of space for my hand to slip under the body tube. But at least the lower bow and ascending bell tube (up to just before the flare) are resting nicely on the plush velour.

The ProTec affords the horn good lateral support; I can't hear or feel anything rattling around when I shake the case when it's closed; and when I open the case upside down the horn rests comfortably on the key guards like it should, so vertical support seems OK.
