I just discovered this app that combines sheet music with play-along tracks in useful ways: https://tomplay.com/

It started out with a focus on classical music, then branched out a little jazz and pop. I love being able to play with a piano or harpsichord accompanist on a Telemann flute sonata, with the ability to adjust the speed for practice, and to record myself in a pretty decent way along with the accompanying part.

It seems like it'd also be a good way to practice sight reading.

N.B. I don't have any affiliation with the app, just thought it was cool.

I signed up for an annual subscription last month and have been loving it. I use it to practice sight reading for both the sax and the violin. I just wish they also had classical selections for the sax, but the jazz and pop selections are fairly extensive (and keep growing each week).

I also like that for each musical selection, they have multiple arrangements, ranging from easy to advanced.

I bought an annual subscription, too, and they're offering 30% off right now.

I'm excited about playing one of the flute duets that lets you play along with two recorded flutists, or just one, or none at all while the music scrolls by.

Unfortunately, I bought my subscription a week or so before they came out with the 30% off promo. I had been thinking of asking them for a refund but I keep forgetting. I think it's too late for me now, but even at the full 99 Euros subscription price I paid I think it's worth it.

Yeah, I like how you can choose which parts of the backing track to play or mute. The arrangements are pretty good, too.

Oh, I've discovered this amazing app several years ago when I tried to find music for my twitch channel. I was able to practice various instruments without buying them in real life. The most amazing instrument there was the flute because it was able to produce a lot of magnificent sounds. But unfortunately, it was impossible to use these tracks during my streams on Twitch. The problem was that I wanted to have such music played in the background of my videos. And I was really lucky to find on this forum the post about https://depositphotos.com/music.html that allows downloading such music from their platform. I bought an annual subscription and have been using their tracks without any problems.
