Kelly - how did you come accross that one? That's a concise little piece, but with the sound clips it's a nice little into/overview... very cool. Just when you think the mainstream media doesn't "get it" (with respect to jazz), you find a nice article like this...

Loved that King Curtis clip in there...and Doggin' Around.. never get tired of that one! Nice clip of Dewey doin' his thing. Testifying!!!

I find all kinds of great "below the radar" stuff via Google News -- if you have a Google account (for example, if you do Gmail or Blogger), you can "personalize" your Google News page by adding a topic (I added "saxophone") -- after that, there's a new section in my Google News -- in addition to "Top News," "World," "Business" and whatever, there's a section called "saxophone" -- often with some great stuff that I'd never have seen otherwise...
