Hi all,

Is there a way to measure the tip opening size without any sophisticated instruments, say just by a visiting card or something that is easily avialable.
Just by looking or some other ad hoc techniques is it possible to know if a mouthpiece is open one or closed one?

Thanks.

Try comparing it to a known mouthpiece to see if it is bigger or smaller.

Do you have a specific mouthpiece you want measured?

Its just a stock mouthpiece that comes along with the sax. I have yamaha 4c and la voz(rico) mouthpiece but could not figure out how to compare.
