hello, my name is sebastian.
i am from Argentina. I play a Yas-25 since i started learning.
I want to move to a tenor sax. What would you recommend? I love vintage sound, but the problem is that here in my country there aren´t lots of vintage saxes, and the few that are here are very expensive.
So, my conclusion were:
a) buy a YTS-(intermediate or pro horn)
b) buy vintage sax.
I prefer the number B.
In an Argentinian eBay (lol) there are some vintage saxes.
A Conn 10M 1949 (no rolled toned holes
) for 1850 u$as. And another 10M Conn 1965 1750 u$as.
There is another vintage sax, a New Wonder with rolled tone holes for 1900 u$as.
Maybe you are thinking that prices are over standard, but i repeat, it is difficult to see good/cheap vintage saxes here in argentina.
If you have a well known shop that sells vintage saxes in U.S. and that sends them to Argentina, please post the link.
Thank you very much.
