By the way- we'll also have a _very special guest_ joining us on the second set....drummer and the jazz legend Bill Goodwin. As you might know, Bill is Phil Woods drummer for decades and a major creative force in jazz. He's played with Art Pepper, Gary Burton...everyone!!:)
Sinse this band is totally improvised....this will be a great direction with Sweet Sue and myself and Bill Goodwin. This kinda was a suggestion of Bills when he and I did some stuff that was open-improv' at a college. One of my fav' recording he's done was with Anthony Ortega back in the 60's called " New Dance" re-issued on HatArt CD.The Ortega record was pre-Ornette...and at a time that Bill played with Ortega and Paul Horn, Art Pepper etc. So, in any case....I'M INSPIRED TO THE MAX.:) :line6: :space4: :space0:

Hope some of you can stop by and enjoy....this one is going to be very unique. Probally a step towards our next CD:cool:

Once again a FANTASTIC Show.. what I caught of it.. couldn't stay for the whole thing, but what I caught was incredible!!....
How about that bass?... WOW!!! Tim, Rachel and Bobbie were smoking as usual, but a nice treat for me, was the first time listening to Maeve... VERY TASTY!!! and brought a different dynamic to this quartet. Very cool!!! Great job as usual Tim!!... you also had to love that hat Rachel was wearing!!! :)

TJ.. I missed you.. I was at the bar

SNIP / / / / you also had to love that hat Rachel was wearing!!! :) SNIP / /
My mom was there and sais to Rachel..." Is your head cold" ....LOL....my mom is almost 80 AND got a sense of humor & knows Rachel for years. So Rachel sais...." OH THE HAT....IT'S A MOOD ". hahaha.:toothy7: :yikes!:

And lets not forget my shirt courtesy AMSTERDAMN WINDS from my buddy Friso there ...that had...SAX ADDICT on the front. :D

But really, Rachel Z is totally cool- she's been urging me to play more Bass Clarinet...and bassoon. Lately she and I have been talking about some stuff on oboe as well. I told Z about a AuloGlass oboe with gold keys that Marigaux Oboes makes. CUPCAKE....can get me one or hook it up. Rachel Z loves the idea, cuz the oboe is high quality/kickin' [email protected]@
and will not get cold. See, Rachel used to play oboe & clarinet when she wasa kid. ( Wayne Shorter has her Buffet clarinet as she gave it to him as a gift etc ) The Marigaux IS awsome/ but we gotta get CUPCAKE to hook it up.
Which maybe means...I need to get CUPCAKE & Rachel Z to have a " Martini hang" and talk shop on this. Rachel thinks as does CUPCAKE that this is a cool idea. AFTER ALL....when I get GAS I don't play games.ha:D

Also- I played on BASS CLARINET..." Centerpiece" but arranged it kinda
Miles-esque with the BASS with me in harmony. It worked~ and that was another Rachel Z brainstorm for me to use the BASS Clary more...as she loves what I'm doing on it. She_HAD_to convince me over a few sushi ( she hipped me to EEL ) and saki meals.: What price I pay for my art!!:! :dazed: lol ..) RACHEL ROCKS.

In any case- it was not only a great gig- I felt good about it and it was big fun too .
