The day Tom Politzer and I hung @NAMM in Cali. was a beautiful thing. He introduced me to Mauro who invented the" Reed Geek"...and it really works! Saved my reeds many times over.

IN this video from my New School University Workshop in NYC, I talk about the Rico Reeds, Saxophone Reed Care and demostrates the awesomeness of the Reed Geek.

NO - LOL.

I use the "geek" as the reed changes, it's a very slight thing. Nothing major at all.

If I used the geek every break, how could... I hOPE TO EVER GET TO THE BAR? haha...

I've been using the reed geek for a few days and this product is FOR REAL! Much better then a knife or sandpaper...reeds play more responsive, better tone, and last longer. Very easy to use!!

I've always felt products like this...were really helpful....IF...you had the know how to put them to use.

GREAT PRODUCT- Easy to use. RESULTS ARE THERE IMMEDIATELY.

Much prefer the Reed Geek.

IMHO, the reed geek is a fantastic extension of the basic razor blade concept. It just works great for: flattening the table, balancing the rails, removing swollen areas due to flaws in the cane, removing material at the cut (i.e. the beginning of the vamp) after clipping the tip. These are all things you can do with a razor blade; the Reedgeek just does them better.

Way cool...Glad SOTW folks are liking the " Geek"...I've been talking about since last Jan 11 after meeting Mario thru Tom Politzer in Calif , and doing blogs about it in 1/2011 and these You Tubes vids.

Easiest tool on the market.

Got a ReedGeek a week ago. All I can say is I wish I'd had this tool YEARS ago! How many times would I have sounded better.......... how many good reeds I could have used for much longer!

So easy to use and SO effective. Surprisingly so.
