So I'm thinking about purchasing a Vandoren v16 A5 with a small chamber.. I'm looking for a more dark rich tone that would especially work well with fast paced articulate bebop styled jazz. I think I have my mind made up on getting a small chamber, as this mouthpiece is mostly going to be used for small combo events and things of that nature. Thoughts? Concerns? Ideas? Lay em' on me!

Ooops! Forgot to ask about something. Will this mouthpiece perform poor, average or well in the altissimo range? Also, what would be the best chamber size to play notes of that caliber? Or does it even matter?

Thanks again!

I own both, the V16 A6M and A6S. They are both great pieces, but I tend to lean towards the small chamber. Small people will tell you the small chamber is too bright, but I prefer it.....
