My "re-interest" in bassoon came from two sources: first, hearing Paul Hansen performing with Bela Flek's group; and second, hearing this Illinois Jaquet solo from 1969 on Youtube:
This makes me wish I hadn't dropped the bassoon.
I studied the bassoon for a while in my younger years but gave it up when I got more serious about the saxophone. This video makes me wish I could afford to buy another one.
