I checked out Richards site about a year ago and looked briefly at the free lesson on his site.( Jazz-O-Matic.com) But I looked at in more in depth this last week and there are lots of free lessons recorded by guys from SOTW and others great players/teachers who describe scales/exercises to work on and then demonstrate them. I have really been focusing this week on working the bebop 8 note scale on V7s and also using an altered pentatonic scale on a v7. ( 1, b2, 3, #4, b7, 1) Very cool sound. Where did I get those practice ideas?? Jazz-O-Matic. There is sooooo much to learn. Thats why sax ( and music) is fun. Never boring. K
