Doug, they're great horns. I'd see if you can find a 880, 990, or 990u. They should be much less expensive than the current, newer 991 and not much difference in performance. Maybe you can keep your Keilwerth. They do have a great tone, intonation, ergonomics, etc. Anyone that says they have a bland tone needs to look in the mirror.

I tried one out last week and like it a lot nice ergos and nice tone...
There are a LOT of horns out there with nice ergos and tone. Stop trying out new horns until you're totally absorbed with your J-K - of course, by then you won't feel the need to try other horns.

Same thing goes with girl friends... It's all about commitment.

I have found that it is not advantageous to have distinctly different horns. You need to get to know one horn and know it well. I don't like the adjustment period when I pick up another make. Backup horns are important so I would get the same make but a less expensive version. All of my horns are awesome - but I tend to just play the Yani's now.

Ok so I got rid of my Keilwerth and I am very happy with the Yanagasawa better and with my RPC 110B . I also found out that I had an allergy to Nickle so myKeilwerth SX90 R Nickle /Silver was giving me a rash . So all in all it worked out for the best

Darn it Doug! I would've liked to have a cut at the NS Keilwerth!!

You'll like the T991. It's a fine horn that is very easy to play.

Whew, I'm glad that worked out for you.

Nice that you had a good trial period with the J-K. Kudos to your local shop for taking good care of you.

I was surprised too but glad it worked out for me they are so nice!
Go ahead and give their shop's name some exposure - someone here may be looking for a J-K SX90 NS tenor.

What? I thought you got it at WWBW? Last time I looked at a map Boca Raton, FL is not local to South Bend, IN. And I am looking for a NS tenor!
