Not that Theo needs another thumbs up, his reputation is a solid one. Still, I wanted to say how much I'm enjoying an SS2 8 that I got as a used 'Condition 2' from Musician's Friend. According to my notes, I've tried 10 hard rubber pieces over the last couple of years. This one, along with a nearly identical sounding/playing House Blend by Mouthpiece Cafe (Erik G./Brian P. Mouthpiece Guys) are my faves by far. The SS2 may be a tad more open and less resistant. It sounds brighter to my ear but doesn't record that way. Both are just terrific!
