I recently purchased a Theo Wanne slant sig 2, and wanted to compare it to two otto links that I already owned, an stm and a Tone edge New Vintage.
I compared them using a Legere signature 2.1 / 4

It was between the TW and the New Vintage for me. I prefer the TW.

That's a tie between the TW and the New Vintage for me. You sound great on both, and I cannot decide on a number one.

TW for me. The STM had the most buzz and a tad brighter. The NV seemed slightly darker. The TW was in the middle and thats what I liked. However had to listen several times and they all sound good. Nice playing.

I have the Theo slant sig and three new vintage HR Otto Links . The Links all have the warm Getzy sound the Theo has Amazing control in all registers at any dynamic.
With with a big band I don’t even need a microphone on solos with the Theo mp. It projects like crazy.…but it’s not really the vintage Link sound, at least for me.

Thanks Charlie! I'm currently playing with the TW, I feel that it retains the darkness and also gains in projection compared to what I usually used, which was the NV

IMHO - TW has done a great job with the Slant SIG. I ordered today this mouthpiece from TW website after reading about it, hearing it in reviews and hearing your comparison playing - thanks a lot!. I actually think that in your video the TW is actually the darkest of them all. I have the NYBros on my alto too. Great mouthpieces.
I also have Aizen tenor HR TSLS 7 (darker mpc) and Otto Link STM metal (early Babbitt - bright).
I think I am going to love this Slant SIG.

I just seen this post. I liked the TW the best . Great clarity to the tone . Out of curiosity are you still on it or have you moved on ?

Maybe for studio work where you have isolation or track the sax after the rhythm section is done, the TW and the Otto Link but in a live situation or a live studio take the buzzy STM might actually sound better and cut more.
