Correct Keith. Hard rubber would not tolerate a built on lig very well. It certainly would warp easier with the least bit of over tightening. Ive seen metal pieces with the mounting holes screwed up fro crsnking down on the liberty lig. Some guys seem to think a lig is a vise.
I used to sell ligs but found that no matter what you sell or supply someone will always be unhappy. I decided to focus on the mouthpiece. Picking a lig for someone is like deciding what reeds they should use....or horn for that matter.
inlike Theo’s ligs too but I can understand that it might be difficult to manage the enlightened lig in dark gig situations where you have to move quickly. Id say the same with the FL ligs. In general, however, I prefer a lig that provides top down pressure. Infeel its ideal for pieces with flat tables and affords minimal stress to the mouthpiece body.
Really? Perhaps it is wise to stick to speaking for yourself. I dont really remember a representative being elected to be the chief of the ligature police.
You realistically expect a recall? Its not a car with a bad airbag. Every lig has its advantages and disadvantages. I dont think Rovners seal well. Am I in a position to demand a full recall on every cloth lig?
Id feel pretty silly.
Steve, it sounds more resonant because you dont have to play over the sound of your mouthpiece shouting out in pain.
