Theo Wanne Ambika vs Otto Ling Tone Edge

I currently have a hard rubber Otto Link Tone Edge for my tenor but I have an opportunity to get a Theo Wanna Ambika at an extremely low price. Would I notice a big difference? I think they are both dark mouthpieces.

I'd think that the biggest difference would be the quality of the facing really. The modern Links are known to have some pretty shoddy facings out of the factory - not the case with Theo Wanne. If you know the Tone Edge is in perfect working order then truthfully I'm not sure what kind of difference you'd see. If the facing is whack however, the Theo Wanne will be more reed friendly, responsive, and just better in general.

If your Tone Edge is just a modern, off the shelf mouthpiece, with no work having been done to it........ yes. You will feel and hear a difference.

if it's a really good price, then you'll probably be able to sell it quickly for the same or more, if you end up not liking it. Nothing to lose!
