A number of years ago I put up a website aimed at beginners on improvising and playing jazz as taught by the late Don Raffell. I didn't try to cover every aspect of playing, rather I wanted to give new students some direction that would help them to learn more quickly (life is short!). Anyway I've never really promoted the site so I'd thought I would post a link to it here. Don called this the twelve tone system where there is no such thing as right or wrong notes, rather there are notes that are played right or wrong, that it is up to the improviser to lend intelligence to notes. At any rate I hope some young (or old) aspiring musicians find the site useful, it's totally free. Jazz has enriched my life and this is just my way of giving something back to the world.
