Well, me either, but sooner or later, someone has to. Does anyone have any idea what's happening regarding orders that were placed? I know I had purchased a new mouthpiece on 12/3/19, and spoke to another person who purchased one 12/15/19. This is no shot at Ron, and I know it's a tough time for people because it hasn't been that long, but if there is any information on the status of these orders, please share it. For me personally, $300 is kind of a big deal, and I'll need to take action with my credit card company before 90 days is up. Thanks for any insight in advance.

Yes. You need to do that now. I actually did bring this up when the news first broke and recommended same.

You can't assume an estate will be opened up for Ron. You can't assume any estate, if opened, will have assets. And that is the only way you will get your money back, is if you make a claim on Ron's estate. Thinking someone is going to go through Ron's stuff and complete his orders or ship products that may have been finished is probably fantasy. So if you have the option to reverse the charges, you need to do that if you are able.

Yes, I remember that and thank you for doing that. I have been trying to funnel whatever was found by the landlord/lady to the correct recipients (about half a dozen so far) but I have no visibility into any outstanding orders. And yes, the proper course of action is to contact PayPal.

Understood. I just don't want the robots at Paypal to tarnish the guy's business name. Ron was always very good to me and I don't want to damage the man's legacy. I will contact Paypal. Thanks.
Thank you for caring, but Grumps summed it well. Ron's intentions, work, and compassion remain unchanged - that legacy will remain.

I have a client who had paid for pair of Ultem mouthpieces. He has been in contact with someone who is handling Ron’s mouthpieces that were incomplete. They are sending them to me to “have the side rails sanded a little” to finish them up. I will analyze them and compare them to curves I have on file for RPC mouthpieces I have measured. Then we will figure out a plan for them.

I had placed an order with Ron for an Ultem back on 11/6/2019, had been in contact with him a few times after and knew he was experiencing some health problems. When I heard about his passing around the first of the year, I was saddened as I really enjoyed talking with him, just chalked it up as unfortunate timing regarding my order and figured there was nothing that could be done.

I should have said I'm just getting 2 mouthpieces sent to me belonging to the client, not all unfinished RPCs.

I just posted a video on my Facebook page showing my access meant of these 2 mouthpieces.

Is Ron past sell by date?

I knew Ron many years ago (he made a bass clarinet mouthpiece for me which was killer).

(My opening might sound somewhat "cold"...and Ron would have laughed).

Please send any and all details....I haven't spoken to him in 20 years since I left CA for greener grass.
