Yesterday night I went to a nice place I had never been before " The Old Quarter" in Amsterdam The Netherlands which every monday night has jazz music.

Arthur Heuwekemeijer http://www.arthurheuwekemeijer.com (tenor sax) played there with a trio (piano, bass, and drums, I am sorry I forgot their names). At a certain point of the evening Rinus Groeneveld http://www.rinusgroeneveld.nl/ ( one of the most respected Dutch tenor players) showed up and joined the band. From 23:00 on there was a session with many international participants.

I gladly recommend this very cozy and warm place to all of you traveling to or through the Netherlands, it is in on the main road in the red light district in Amsterdam though:twisted: mind you! It is not dangerous at all but if you are squeamish or object the folks around there perhaps is not your place:D

In spite of the enviroment around is a very nice place to be! They even have a special Jazz Menu at cut cost!

Hey Milandro, sounds like my kinda place, all around. I'd love to go there & check out the club you speak of, etc. Unfortunately, I can't afford it right now. I can't just drive there from San Francisco! Maybe some day. Cheers.
