Not sure if this has been posted before but this is one of the masters of the saxophone and jazz music talking about his concept of improvising and teaching improvisation. A couple of lightbulbs went off in my head after hearing this and I just had to share it.

I totally agree with you! I just got hip to this guy and don't know why I have never heard of him before. He's a real improviser, in the moment, and beautiful.
