Great arranging, playing, and recording. I expected and looked forward to something ‘grassoso’ given the tune choice. I don’t think the folks who populated Shakedown Street all those years ever saw it so pretty and well manicured as this version presents. 🤷‍♂️

I saw a group called Jazz Is Dead last summer at Newport. I thought they did what the name implied but there was no Grateful Dead material. Instead they brought out various old school guests like Henry Franklin, Doug Carn and Gary Bartz. By far they were the best band I heard that day.
As to the Latin Dead I'd love to hear them cover Terrapin Station and a few others.
