In my last thread offering my transcription/arrangement of the Don Grolnick/Saxophone Workshop performance of "The Four Sleepers," I mentioned that I was working on transcribing Ernie Watts's alto solo from the live video on Youtube (solo starts at 3:32).

Well, after working on it off and on, little bits at a time (my blood pressure rose quite a bit while transcribing this one ) for a few months, it's finally done. And difficult.

The solo progression is essentially the A section of "Autumn Leaves" in concert F minor. Because the rhythm section doesn't really play any alternate changes, I left the chords as is, rather than inputting them in relation to what Ernie was playing at any given time (although he doesn't go too far outside the changes).

PM or email me if you would like me to email you a PDF of it, and feel free to leave input here. Thanks!
