The Bari Spell

tenor has been my main sax ever since i started playing. in band i sit beside a bari player, and the sound of the bari is amazing. i wanted to play it soo bad, so i started doublig on bari.Are there anything that i eed to keep in mind?tips? or whatever. thx

I would add that although good support is even more important than on the smaller saxes, it´s also good to lay off a little on the bari. It´s terribly easy to overblow it -particularly when the going gets a bit excitable. Remember that it´s not as "cutting" a sound as on tenor, even, but that´s not to say that you aren´t loud!
Excellent advice (which has been gently pointed out to me on a couple of occasions by our conductor since I picked up the big horn). :)
