Any and all reed cases (No need for anything other than what they come with)
Reed trimmer (Much easier to just find another reed)
Various clarinet thumb savers (none of them work whatsoever)
Neotech strap (horrible quality and not comfortable at all)
Sax swabs (way too flimsy and don't do the job at all)

1. Metalite mouthpiece. Way too loud for what I needed. As that's pretty much what everyone said on this forum (Metalite mouthpieces are "loud"), I'm at an absolute loss as to why I bought it in the first place.

2. Cheap Yamaha sheet music stand. At $10...it was a better value than my lunch (at least the stand will still be with me in 12 hours, lol).

1. Those key clamp things that keep your keys closed when in the case. Ended up messing up my pads and cost me about $100 to fix
2. Reed holders. Personally, I use old Altoid cans
3. Saxophone pull through swabs
4. Saxophone ring mute

1. stretchy neck strap
2. Rico mouthpieces - some love them, I find them uncomfortable and not a pleasing tone
3. gig bags - use at your own risk
4. olivieri reeds - not a one played for me
5. new stock STM ligature - the old ones can be stellar, but the new ones are worse than useless, they can damage a reed or mouthpiece.

erm. maybe not 5:
fiber protected gewa gigbag. looked sturdy, but still too soft especially under the zipper and one carrying belt just broke.
rico reedgard - 4 in rotation is just too little. I have never gotten rid of the (probably good) habit of just putting the reeds in their transparent original sliders. one look and I know which reed i am gonna play.
a pretty decent clip on mic - well, not so useless for a while, but i ended up moving too much and the sound was never really right. i prefer the good old sure plus, for some of my purposes a clip on is impossible to use.

1 Any kind of reed tools -- trimmer, knife, etc (sandpaper is the only thing I will every try on a reed, the rest truly is just a waste of time)
2 Cork Grease (never actually bought any, but I seem to have more than I need laying around)
3 Key Oil (never actually bought any, but I seem to have more than I need laying around)
4 Rico H Lig -- works just like all the other 100 ligs I have in the drawer that I got as ancillaries in horn deals, at least it wasnt too expensive
5 ??? I don't have to many regrettable sax purchases

Hey Sean - Trade you that Glass Resurfacer for the original neck plug for YOUR 10M that I found the other day!

I never had a reed trimmer, so most of the sax gear I've purchased is useful. I don't use my over-the-shoulder strap because it puts the horn in the wrong place. I've tried other straps for bari, but I'm most comfortable just hanging it off my neck like my tenor. I've been playing sax that way for 50 years. I guess I'm too old to change now. But I like Metalites. Sterling, send me yours. I'll trade you for a shoulder strap.

I'll pass on the shoulder strap (I use a padded neck strap). Do you have any soft reeds (i.e. Vandoren 2 or lower)? If not...you can have it (a tenor M9) for $15 shipped.
