I wasn't exactly sure where to post this, but I wanted to make sure that as many SOTW'ers as possible saw this- so I put it here. I hope it's OK.

I just wanted to take a moment and thank Steve Sklar publicly for our recent transaction. I am the new owner of his Couf Superba I Alto, and couldn't be happier! If it's been said before, my apologies for the redundancy, but if you've not dealt with Steve before, know that he is professional, courteous, helpful, accommodating, and friendly. And besides all that - he really knows his saxophone stuff! All around great experience. Anyway, a hearty THANK YOU to Steve!

Thanks, Nels

I think he uses his name as his screen name. It is just one word instead of two words. But yes you should ask permision!!!

Umm, no I didn't get his OK. Sorry about that. I wasn't aware that it was against the rules. I guess I just though, as sycc said previously, that since he used it in his screen name that it was alright. Again, my apologies.

That's fine by me. And yes my real name is my screen name ..

It was hard letting go of my original Couf horn .. but it was sitting unused forever. I'm glad it finally went to a new home, and a deserving one as well. As I mentioned to him, he probably has put more time into it than I had it's entire time. I probably put more setup time into it then playing it actually ?!?! over the years.

It was my 2nd pro horn - the first being a mk VII - and primarily bought due to being in Couf-land. but I still have my original Couf Royalist II.

So SteveSklar is Steve Sklar? No wonder I never saw both of them at the same time.

I did see and play this Couf Superba I (is it okay to use its full name?) yesterday. What a lovely horn. Looks great, plays better. About as good an alto as you can find without spending massive money.

I would not hesitate to buy from Steve.

And thanks for the plateau clarinet you sold me Steve. Everyone that plays it is impressed with the playability and the price you let it go for. Hmm... maybe it's time to sell my Couf Superba I twins (alto and tenor). Now that I'm using the Selmer Reference, they never get pulled out.
