The Texas All Star Jazz Camp Big Band will perform every
night of the
our annual Texas All Star Jazz Camp. The concerts are
July 15 - 19, are at 8 pm, and are
free... YES....FREE! They take place on the Spring
Creek Campus of Collin
County Community College in the John Anthony Theatre.
Our address is 2800
E. Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano.
The band itself features many local jazz notaries
including Jay
Saunders, Keith Jourdan, Keith Adkins, Mike Burgess, Dan
Evans, Dave Von
Blohn, Rosana Eckert, AG Robeson, Kent Ellingson, Tim
Ishii, Tom Burchill, Kevin McNerney
and Bobby Breaux to mention a few. (Did I mention that
it is free!)
To that we add former UNT guys like Randy Hamm, Jon
Leonard and Glenn
Kostur. Current UNT'er David Winslow too. Also Ed
Petersen from Univ of
New Orleans, a monster tenor player.
And if that wasn't enough!!! ..... Lets throw in
multiple Grammy-winning saxophonist, Chris Vadala, formerly with Chuck
Mangione, on Monday night, July 16 and NYC trombonist and big band
leader / composer, John Fedchock on Thursday, July 19 as our special
guest artists. WOW!!!! I did mention these are FREE!!!!

Sunday - Texas All Star Jazz Camp Big Band featuring the
Texas All Star Jazz Camp Big Band.
Monday - TASJC Big Band with Chris Vadala
Tuesday - TASJC Big Band featuring the TASJC Big Band
Wednesday - THRASCHER NIGHT with Randy, Tim, Ed and
Glenn. (A saxophone quartet with the mindset of a light "metal" band!)
Thursday - TASJC Big Band with John Fedchock
Friday - TASJC Big Band plus student big bands (This one
starts at 6:30 pm, but it is still FREE!)
Please come and join us on any night you can! The
shows last an hour, so bring the kids, the relatives and the neighbors!
Sorry... no pets allowed!
