They sound really close to each other in my ears Roger. The RS Berkeley maybe a tad brighter and closed in the higher register, but maybe also a bit more complex.

What do you find yourself?

I like the first one. Put some air into it and maybe a little more resistance on the reed and you'd have something. The other one was dead.

Both seem to be equally comfortable to play. I like the sound you are getting with both frankly.
Hard to go wrong with my favorite model Selmer, the SBA, too. Good choice ;)

I like both. The Intrepid sounds fatter to me and a bit larger sounding. I really like the CP piece and the sparkle and character it has also. That's a hard call. I think the Potter piece sounds more "at home" for you and comfortable. I definitely don't hear the Intrepid as "dead" like the poster above felt.........

The Potter piece feels slightly more introverted maybe. Slight preference for the Intrepid, but you sound great on both!
