I hadn't heard of it until now, but it looks interesting although the price is scary.

The description says "This classic Baritone Model is created from a lost wax casting of a vintage British hard rubber baritone favorite done TK style" - do you think that is hinting at Berg Larsen ?

I will be checking them out tomorrow, and I hear that they are pretty much the best bari piece ever created.

Looks to me like a 60s HR "Offset" Berg cast out of brass/bronze.

I have a sterling silver VersiTone in a 0.090" that is the most incredible mouthpiece I've owned/played on alto. The geometry is very close to an old fatboy Meyer Bros. with the medium chamber, just made out of metal. It's nice to have a metal mouthpiece that is the same profile as a HR mouthpiece.

I don't think anybody's gonna be able to play these for a couple more weeks, Ted's website says it takes about 4-6 weeks to make a piece.

I played one of these a few weeks back and it's by far the best baritone solution to date.

Anybody seriously considering a high end bari mouthpiece should fork out the $775, it's a bargain at that price.
I have to concur with unbalancedaction - this is the most bad-*** baritone mouthpiece available!!

I tried two and bought one yesterday when Sebastian came out to PM Woodwind for the day to showcase the Klum line of mouthpieces. He had three of the London bari pieces in .120" (mine), .113", and .112". I played the .120 and .113 - they were very similar, performance-wise. I used a slightly harder reed on the .113 of course, and it had slightly more focus and clarity. But the .120 had something "more" to the sound, and I like a little "wildness" in a bari mouthpeice. These pieces have a great edge to them, but have a depth to the sound that I've not encountered in any other bari piece that I've played. It cuts, but it's also BIG and FAT. Usually, playing the low A at a low volume is somewhat tenuous, but this piece sang right down to the bottom at pianissimo. It sung to the top of the horn at pianissimo as well. And these things can BLAST when you want to jump on them. I could do bebop lines at a fast tempo (is that redundant?) while maintaining a mp volume, and didn't have to worry about any of the notes "crapping out". A rich full sound all the time. And wide jumps (6ths to octaves) were no problem - it was like playing the note next to the one I started on. And the intonation was spectacular!

Ted Klum....

The man who cured my Mp GAS on Tenor....now he makes metal Alto & Bari pieces....I feel a relapse coming on...
Jump online and order one NOW!!! You won't regret it - in fact, you'll probably play your bari for a week straight once you get it!

I purchased the London TK bari mouthpiece a couple of days ago, and I concur, this is an amazing creation, absolutely the best I have played on the big horn. I was prepared to simply try it at Ted's place, since the only one they had at the time was large (.132) and I play a variety of styles on bari, including big band and commercial, but also pit work and orchestral occasionally, which require very quiet playing with great control and articulation, and any other piece that size I've ever tried has been a screamer only, difficult to control. Let me tell you, this mouthpiece can absolutely WHISPER down to low A, with a degree of control I have not previously experienced, and certain intonation issues in the middle range of my Yani have vanished (the middle D is spot on) and I truly appreciate how good my horn is for the first time. This mouthpiece plays best in tune quite far in on my cork, absolutely the best position for an even scale and control, and keeps me practicing for long stretches.
This is state-of-the-art mouthpiece production by a master craftsman, worth every penny, and I'm sure the value will go up over time. Highly recommended.

got one. got one i thought might be too big for me (.126). it is a casting based on the same moel of a piece that I once had. met its end in an accidental drop.

it slays everything. was using a vandoren v19 in a 9 tip, or a slant link in a 7*, depending on my mood.

Similar concept in theory to the v16(berg-based). the london model blows it out of the water. plays better than anything and everything ive played. (various vintages of links, dukoffs, meyers, sr tek, bergs).

+1 would buy again.
