hello i m try to repair my first alt sax but ……. I want to make a excell doc with alll the keys , wich keys are open , wich keys are closed , wich keys work together ………
wich key needs strong springs ……… can any help me with this ??
I agree. Take dozens of photos from every conceivable angle and as you remove each piece take a picture of it lying alonside the area of the horn you removed it from. Shoot pics of the screws you removed so you can see what size they were so later you get them back in the right place. I’m sure the working techs have other tricks for remembering the order to put things back where they belong. You can’t take too many photos.
I don’t repair instruments but I have done radio repair and I was once a jet airplane mechanic so I know the key is to work carefully and make note of each step. It’s a pain in the rear to get something nearly reassembled only to realize you have to take it apart again because you put a part on in the wrong order. It takes patience.
