Hi there !

I just wrote a transcription of the manga "Cowboy Bebop" opening theme "Tank!" by Yoko Kanno and the Seatbelts.

Tank! for Eb saxophone

This is arranged so that you can play alone the bass/sax/trumpet parts alltogether alternatively but keeping up without loosing the beat. That way you can play along with the original recording.

Hope you enjoy :)

eric dannewitz of jazz-sax.com did a transcription of this. Here is a sendspace link: http://www.sendspace.com/file/knvv0q. the arrangement is for a full big band. the alto sax solo from the cd version is transcribed as well.

p.s. the sax player who did the solo on the live recording above and the cd version was masato honda (see sig)

Its not letting me use it. I downloaded the file, both of them, and neither can be opened by any program on my computer, is there a specific program needed to open them?

It's a .pdf file.

It should open with Adobe Acrobat Reader (free download from their site) on Windows.

What is this tune from? Is it a TV show or something? I keep hearing about it but don't know anything about it.
It's the theme song from Cowboy Bebop, which is an anime cartoon.
Never seen the show, but the theme song rocks! ;)

BTW, thanks for the transcription. I'm very excited to play it out!

I've played the Dannewitz arrangement, and I think there are some significant problems with it.

If I could get a better sounding recording of the Youtube performance, I think I'd just transcribe it myself.
