Hi, I listened to this song while my daughter was playing at Super mario videogame.
The melody is nice and full of chromatic approach notes haha!
I wrote this arrangement for 4 baritone saxes and I had lots of fun doing that!
So I played at Super Mario sax section...

That's excellent playing and a great video to accompany it. Very clever work.

Thanks to all of you.
It was very funny and also a different thing to do to me!
I have found a good setup with this Conn 12m and an old Otto Link tone edge.
I hate harsh "lawnmover" kind of tone, I like a woody dark and cavernous tone.
soundwise my biggest references Mulligan and Chaloff.
But my major influences in improvisation are tenor players.
Super Mario bros has some nice tunes.
I realized that while I was sending some emails at my computer and my daughter was playing at Super Mario Odyssey in the sitting room.
Maybe I could arrange other tunes from that videogame in the future...

Thank you Instrument Attic!
For me the funniest part is the 3 options bonus challenge: play a solo
1oh yes
2no I have a bad reed
3no, my G# key is sticky
But nobody mentioned that, so maybe it's just a silly thing in my head...haha
Did you enjoyed that or did yo prefer another parts?, just curious
feel free to comment what you want...

Thank you A Greenie She was impressed, because she listened to the saxophone playing a well known tune for her and she had fun playing an actress role! I am trying to teach saxophone to her, but at the moment she prefers singing. For me it's great, the better you sing the better you play. The instrument should become a projection of the voice and the ideas you are singing in your head while playing. It's hard to get there though...
