Just wondering if a super 20 will fit in a std. size jakob winter case.

There are two fundamentally different kinds og J Winter cases (not counting the greenline, which I would not recommend based on hearsay). The old black cases are really sturdy but the neck doesn't fit. No experience with the new fiberglass ones, but you have Rennie's take on those. I suspect Milandro may refer to the former kind, which were made to fit Keilwerth. OK, Milo, come on. Your third chance in a week to flame me (not that it affects someone with my resilience).

I was talking of the black ( they also exist in blue and red) fiberglass ones, they are omnipresent around here and I have had both models the one with and the one without the preformed space for the neck. Both fitted my super 20 with the caveat of the neck. The one without the preformed space came with a neck pouch.

Reviving this thread. Has anyone been using a contoured greeline or the newer ABS model JW 2195 with a Super 20 tenor? What's your experience please?

I'm very interested in the greenline for its ultra lightweight. But worried about how protective it is compared to the ABS model. Incidentally I went see Howard Wiley in a bar a few weeks ago. He walked in carrying his Zephyr tenor in a contoured greenline on his back.
