I've been playing a Sumner Acousticut 3 on bari for a couple of years now, and I was wondering if anyone here could provide a little more information about it. I've checked out most of the posts here on SOTW, but there really isn't much regarding the bari mouthpieces. I know I could take it in to get measured, but I was wondering if anyone here knew the supposed tip opening or facing off hand. It's definitely a little more on the closed end of the spectrum, which I personally like, as I use Vandoren 3.5's. I know it's not the biggest deal what the tip opening is and I'll still be playing the piece regardless, but I was looking for some kind of frame of reference. Thanks for the help!

If it is one of the older ones that looks like a Meyer, it probably is pretty closed. I sold Sumners about 45 years ago and a 3 for alto or tenor was close to a Selmer C*. My guess would be that yours is in the .080-.085" tip range.
