Hi,
last year during Montreal Jazz Fest, I had a chance to meet with Mr. Benny Golson.
The young musicians accompanied him were just simply amazing.
Between the 2 concerts I talked with Emmet Cohen (piano), since that I got the news about his activities on music scene.
And listened his performnces... since COVID time (April) he organized his weekly live streaming with his trio and often inviting different musicians.
I watched some of them and always loved it...

2 weeks ago the trio returned from European Tour (Italy, Austria, Germany and Switzerland) all concerts were sold out.
I loved to hear and watch that such activities went uniterrupted and well organized.

Say truth, I had the intention to introduce Emmet and his trio here on TOTM earilier... but after listening this clip I do share the link and hope it will be interesting.
Worth to say that Emmet has a recognition in Jazz world. He played and recorded with legends like Ron Carter, Jimmy Cobb, Benny Golson and others and has some awards.
But I have no any intention to promote :)... just suggest to listen all wonderfull musicians in this performance from Emmet Place (he does this without missing any Monday since COVID period).
Of course your opinion of every musician would be interesting. For me each of them has his "face" and together they do JAZZ great again.

So here we go... super "Night in Tunisia".
Best.
Michael.
