I need to strip the plating off of a couple keys to match the existing brass keys on a horn. How does one go about this?

Reversing the positive and negative lines on a plater will do it. If the plating is very thick it will take a long time. Buffing works fine as well.
I used this to strip the nickle plating of the keys of a horn I have. You need a little heater and something to keep the solution circulating ( I used a little air pump and heater from an aquarium). It took about 24 rours for the plating to come off, but it works without hurting the brass. http://www.caswellplating.com/kits/metalx.html

Do some Google searches on "reverse plating" or "how to reverse plate"

I remember finding a few sites that were helpful. There are some threads on SOTW that give the recipe for the strip tank and explain how to do it. I used a five gallon bucket and a car battery charger.

It is very easy to do.

Good luck
