i just got one of these and it is just a tiny bit too open and has been roaring my throat problem up again!
i might try a softer reed, i might sell it, not sure
if i was to sell it, what price would you pay for it, or are there any other solutions?

thanks,
Dan

...Is there a baffle?...
Someimes there is one and just a moment late there is none.

The strathons have an adjustable baffle. You can slide it in or out. I have an original #7* old one for tenor and a new zinner #8 for bariton. They are nice for checking out how much baffle you prefer in a mouthpiece.

mine is a seven, i play the same on tenor,
i love the sound but i just cant play it for over 5 minutes which is such a shame,
the sliding baffle works great,
this is the older model, real hard rubber, not the later plasticy ones
