Hi,someone said to me the other day when I told them I had got a curved soprano sax,'Oh you have got the old type' which made me wonder which came first?

In some pictures of Adolph Sax's original instruments I have it's a straight soprano.

Sax's original patent was for a straight soprano.

We have Sidney Bechet circa 1920 using his straight sop, I wonder when the 1st curved was built/used?....
